Michelle’s Vision
Building, Changing and Organizing:
The Climate Council in 2025 & Beyond
Elect more Democrats.
Special elections area coming up. Key governor races area coming up. And 2026 is right around the corner. During the first Trump Administration, our early victories in the special elections in 2017 were a key stepping stone to our path back to power. That is why Michelle is already leading the Council to lean in, including in the Florida Special Elections this year.
Mobilize
Michelle knows we must not sit back and let Donald Trump and JD Vance take away our rights and our freedoms or destroy our hope for a sustainable future.
Learn
Under Michelle’s leadership, the Council launched its Third National Listening and Organizing Tour this summer. She is traveling the country, listening, learning and supporting organizing — particularly in parts of the country we lost in 2024. We need to grow our tent. Because Democrats need more voters on our side, and to win them over, we need to listen and engage with them.
Fight
Michelle is leading the Council’s work to fight climate Disinformation and uphold the truth.
The Council is active on five social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Instagram), and has active campaigns to end fossil fuel subsidies, make polluters pay, and to fight the firings and budget cuts of key federal agencies and workers.
Build
Michelle is an organizer with experience as an elected public official, an elected party leader, and union organizer, and she is leveraging her skills and experience to help establish and grow in even more states.
Endorse Michelle for DNC Climate Council
Michelle is running for re-election as Chair of the DNC Environment and Climate Crisis Council at the August 25, 2025 DNC Meeting. Since she founded the DNC Climate Council and launched it just over 5 years ago, Michelle has become a key voice for climate and environmental justice inside and outside the Democratic Party.
We need Michelle as Climate Council Chair, and her record shows there is no question she should be re-elected. Whether you are an individual or an organizational representative, Michelle would be honored to have your support.
