Michelle Deatrick has my enthusiastic endorsement for her second term as Chair of the DNC Environment and Climate Crisis Council. Michelle is a champion for justice, equity, good jobs, and climate. She not only founded the DNC Climate Council which she currently chairs, she also was the founding Sponsor of the DNC Poverty Council and the Midwest Representative to the Women’s Caucus.

I have been privileged to serve on a DNC Climate Council Committee, and have witnessed Michelle successfully and powerfully use her position as Council Chair to amplify and prioritize crucial issues, from water infrastructure to electric vehicles to ensuring the Green Economy offers millions of good union jobs. We need to re-elect Michelle as DNC Climate Council Chair. She is a coalition builder and a much-needed voice for the environment-- and I’m proud to endorse her.
